Next week on Home and Away in the UK, Theo finds himself drawn into a dangerous world of illegal racing and crime, while Rose prepares for an emotional farewell as she leaves Summer Bay to follow her dreams of becoming a detective.
Theo Gets Involved with the River Boys and Illegal Street Racing
Theo’s life in Summer Bay takes a thrilling and risky turn when he gets involved with the infamous River Boys, a notorious surfing gang from nearby Mangrove River. Their activities have recently escalated into the world of illegal street racing, which puts Theo in a dangerous position. The trouble begins when Gage (played by Tom Wilson), the leader of the River Boys, overhears Theo (Matt Evans) and Sonny (Ryan Bown) talking at Salt. Gage later approaches Sonny to ask if Theo is a mechanic looking for extra work, offering him his contact details.
Theo, who has recently taken out a loan to buy and restore his dream car, is desperate to find a side hustle to help pay off his debts. At first, Theo feels uneasy when he and Sonny visit the River Boys’ compound and he spots Gage’s ‘Blood and Sand’ tattoo, a symbol of the gang’s violent reputation. The atmosphere only grows more tense as Theo realizes the gang is using stolen car parts to modify their vehicles. However, his attention is soon diverted when he spots Lacey (Sophea Pennington), a girl working on a classic Falcon XY. They exchange some playful banter as Theo helps Lacey with a mechanical issue, but things take a darker turn when Theo later sees Lacey in a passionate embrace with Gage.
In the coming week, the River Boys make their presence felt in Summer Bay once again, causing chaos when a brawl breaks out outside the Surf Club. Senior Constable Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) is called to intervene, and during the confrontation, he ends up arresting Gage. As Lacey attempts to defend Gage, Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) tells her to back off and let the police handle it. Lacey immediately confronts Eden, but Cash steps in to warn Eden that she doesn’t want to cross the River Boys.
Once Gage is taken away for questioning, Theo approaches Lacey to find out what’s going on. Lacey agrees to explain, but only on the condition that Theo buys her a drink at Salt. Over their drink, Lacey reveals that Gage’s driver, Mouse, had made a deal with Gage’s rival, throwing the race to cost Gage a lot of money. Later, Sonny tells Theo that Gage has contacted them with a job offer that promises a large payout. Despite his reservations, Theo agrees, and he and Sonny end up at a race circuit where the River Boys are preparing for another illegal race.
Theo and Sonny are asked to look at the car that will be used in the race. However, when Gage arrives and sees that they haven’t found a replacement driver yet, Theo steps forward and offers to drive. Gage is skeptical but agrees, reminding Theo that if he damages the car, there will be severe consequences. The race begins with Theo struggling at first, but he manages to pull ahead and win the race, much to the excitement of Gage, Sonny, and Lacey. Theo’s natural driving skills impress Gage, who begins to see potential for them to make money together. When Gage is distracted, Lacey pulls Theo into a passionate kiss, and after the race, Theo finds himself in a dangerous situation. Sonny catches on to what’s happening but warns Theo that if Gage ever finds out about his involvement with Lacey, it could be deadly. Still, Theo is more focused on the large sum of money he’s just earned and wonders how much more he could make if he started racing his own car.
Theo is now deeply entangled in the dangerous world of street racing, and it seems like he may be heading down a path from which he can’t easily escape.
Rose’s Farewell as She Pursues Her Dream of Becoming a Detective
Next week, it’s time for Rose (Kirsty Marillier) to say goodbye to Summer Bay, as she embarks on a new chapter in her life to pursue her dream of becoming a detective. Rose has been grappling with her future in Summer Bay ever since her brother, Xander (Luke Van Os), left the town for a six-week internship in Melbourne. However, Xander’s decision to stay in Melbourne for a job offer, despite inviting his girlfriend Dana (Ally Harris) to join him, has deeply affected Rose. She initially moved to Summer Bay to be closer to Xander and his half-sister Jasmine (Sam Frost). Now that Xander has stayed behind, Rose decides to follow her own dream of becoming a police detective.
Rose’s decision to leave Summer Bay is further solidified when she is accepted into the police detective program. With her notice handed in at Yabbie Creek police station and Bree agreeing to take over her lease at the pier apartment, Rose is preparing for her final day of patrol. As her day winds down, Rose bumps into Bree and Kirby (Angelina Thomson), who have planned a small farewell lunch for her at Salt. The trio reminisces about the changes that have occurred in Rose’s life, with Bree and Kirby probing her about whether she plans to speak to her ex, Mali (Kyle Shilling), before leaving town.
In a quiet moment, Kirby arranges for Mali to meet Rose at the station. The two take a stroll along the beach, reflecting on their past and their relationship. Mali admits he’s grown since they broke up, and they share a heartfelt goodbye. Meanwhile, back at the police station, Rose has an emotional moment with Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) as she hands over her responsibilities to him. Cash pulls her into a tight hug, expressing his gratitude for her hard work and wishing her the best of luck in her future career.
The next morning, before leaving, Rose has one last encounter with her friends. Bree, Kirby, and Irene surprise her with coffee and diner goodies for the journey. The group shares a final, emotional farewell, with Kirby jokingly reminding Rose not to forget about them when she becomes a “hotshot detective.” As Rose drives away from Summer Bay, her friends wave her off, and she heads toward her new life, ready to begin the next chapter of her journey.
Theo is diving deeper into a dangerous world with the River Boys, while Rose is closing a significant chapter in her life. Both characters are on the brink of new beginnings, but the paths they are taking are full of uncertainty and risk.
