Home and Away: Alf’s Fury as Lacey and Jo’s Surf Club Brawl Erupts

Tensions come to a head next week on Home and Away (UK episodes) as long-simmering family drama between Lacey and Jo boils over—right in the middle of the surf club. The emotional fallout leaves Alf furious, David caught in the crossfire, and the sisters locked in a bitter confrontation that turns violent.

It’s been seven months since Lacey cut off contact with her family after the tragic death of her mother, Christina. Still reeling from the grief and convinced that justice was never served, Lacey blames her sister Jo for the fatal car crash that changed everything. Jo had been driving during the accident but has no memory of what caused the vehicle to veer off-road. Although an official investigation cleared her of wrongdoing, Lacey has never accepted the outcome—suspecting their father, David, of pulling strings as a police officer to protect Jo.

Since then, Lacey has kept her distance, refusing all contact with her father or sister. Her life in Summer Bay has been carefully insulated from her past—until recently, when David was reassigned to the nearby Yabi Creek Police Station and Jo moved in with him.

Last week, David attempted to reconnect, showing up at the surf club to hand Lacey a suitcase containing the last of her possessions from their family home—now sold. The gesture caught Lacey off guard. Though initially cold, she found herself emotionally stirred after looking through the suitcase later that evening, especially with support from her friend Theo. Encouraged by Theo, she reluctantly agreed to meet with her father the next day.

During their emotional reunion, David explained that he couldn’t bear to remain in the family home without Christina. For a brief moment, it seemed like there might be hope for reconciliation. But the moment quickly shattered when David mistakenly recalled buying ballet shoes for Lacey—only for Lacey to remind him that it was Jo who had danced, not her. The painful reminder of his emotional disconnect reopened old wounds, and the fragile truce collapsed.

Things get worse in the upcoming episodes when Lacey discovers Theo has been speaking privately with David. Though his intentions were good—he was trying to help by sharing how upset Lacey had been about the house sale—she sees it as a betrayal. Lacey, already distrustful, accuses Theo of siding with her father and cuts him off.

Meanwhile, David seeks solace in a drink at Salt with Justin, where the two fathers bond over the challenges of raising teenage daughters. David’s desire to fix things drives him to try once more. When he spots Lacey downstairs at Salt, he stops her—not for a heart-to-heart, but to ask for her bank details. He wants her to have her share of the proceeds from the house sale. Lacey is stunned but resolute. She refuses, making it clear she doesn’t want anything from him.

Still, David reveals to Theo that he wants to give Lacey $100,000 from the sale. When Theo later tells her this and reminds her that the house was also her mother’s, Lacey softens slightly. Christina would have wanted her daughter to be taken care of, he insists.

Motivated by that thought, Lacey agrees to meet David again—but this time she comes with a pointed question: is Jo getting the same amount? When David confirms that both daughters are being treated equally, Lacey snaps. She’s incensed that Jo, the one she holds responsible for their mother’s death, is receiving the same share. She storms out, declaring that if money can’t fix things, what can?

In a moment of clarity, Lacey finally tells David what she truly wants—not money, but something meaningful to remember her mother by. She asks for Christina’s eternity ring, the one she and Jo helped pick out when their parents renewed their vows. David is stunned—because he no longer has it. Jo does.

When David approaches Jo about the ring, suggesting she pass it on to Lacey, she immediately shuts down. The ring is deeply symbolic for her, a constant reminder of her guilt and grief. She flatly refuses. On her way home, Jo suffers a panic attack triggered by the emotional weight of the conversation.

Later, a chance encounter at the surf club brings the sisters face-to-face. Jo, still on edge, informs Lacey that she has no intention of giving up the ring. Lacey is furious. In her mind, Jo has no right to something so sacred—not after what happened. The argument escalates quickly, with both sisters hurling accusations. Theo tries to de-escalate, but it’s too late.

Everything explodes when Lacey accuses Jo of killing their mother. Jo, already shaken, reacts physically—striking Lacey in the heat of the moment. The scene erupts into a full-on fight in the middle of the surf club. Patrons look on in shock as the two sisters brawl—until Alf storms in, furious and stunned, and breaks it up.

Alf wastes no time hauling them upstairs, demanding an explanation. He calls David, who rushes over immediately. Once there, David lays down the law: no one’s leaving until they talk this out. The emotional impasse has reached a boiling point, and he knows it’s time for the girls to confront the pain, guilt, and resentment that’s been festering for months.

Will they find a way forward—or will the rift between Lacey and Jo tear the family apart for good?

Stay tuned to Home and Away next week to see if peace can be found—or if Alf’s patience will be pushed to the limit.
