Emmerdale‘s Dylan Penders causes a big rift as he is caught out for breaking into Butler’s Farm.
Fortunately, Paddy Dingle came to the teen’s rescue – not only patching up his wound, but also offering him a temporary place to stay.
At the Woolpack, the couple grill Paddy about Dylan’s injury, and the vet admits that he was the one who stitched up the “puncture wounds”.
Rhona is quick to put two and two together, realising the wound could’ve been caused by a pitchfork. “There we have it. Dylan is the intruder that was stabbed by Kyle,” she deciphers.
Rhona is furious that Paddy risked his job to help Dylan, given his criminal activity, but Paddy continues defend the vulnerable teen.
Though Marlon also suggests some lenience, his wife insists on informing Moira about the break-in. “I’m surprised you’re being so blasé, knowing April’s involved,” she says.
Rhona finally reconsiders following an emotional plea from Paddy. He reminds her that Dylan was living on the streets and has no family looking out for him.
Later, Marlon and Paddy tell Dylan that they know what really caused his injury, but assure him that they won’t tell the police. Paddy says Dylan can stay with him and Mandy, and the teenager promises he won’t get involved in any more “dodgy” schemes.
However, with villain Ray forcing him to deal drugs – how will Dylan remove himself from the dangerous situation?
