Ross caught in the act in Emmerdale as he executes revenge plan

Ross Barton (Michael Parr) has been ruffling feathers since he returned to Emmerdale; cracking on to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), reminding Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) that he’s already been there with his wife Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley). Is he about to get his comeuppance so early on in the game?

Ross popped up in the village when it was revealed he was Billy’s opponent in the illegal fighting ring. Besides fighting, since his return he’s spent his time winding up Mack (Lawrence Robb) and throwing his weight around. It seems he has no plans to leave.

He’s even finding time to get his leg over, when Caleb (Will Ash) spots him leaving the B&B with his daughter Steph (Georgia Jay). Ross really does feel no fear, does he?

In a bid to appease Steph and keep her around, Caleb offers her to be his partner in his new Depot. This sounds perfect to Ross, who thinks he can use her as a way in to bag himself a new job.

But first, Caleb offers Jai (Chris Bisson) a job to keep Steph happy. Jai initially rebuffs the offer, but Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) talks him round. But then he realises that his new boss is Steph. He’s been had and he is not happy about it.

So, Ross shows up looking for work like the daft idiot he is, thinking Caleb would hire the man using his daughter for sex.

Caleb sends him packing, but a scorned Jai sees a new opportunity. He’s cooking up some revenge.

Ready to get his own back on Caleb, he approaches Ross and suggests they team up to steal some of Caleb’s valuable stock. Ross is only too keen to assist.

It’s an easy job, distract Kerry and go in for the kill. In a double-team move, Jai handles Kerry (Laura Norton) while Ross makes the move.

He loads up a van with the stock and then shoots off to a barn to offload his lot. Sweetest deal he’s ever done.

But he’s in for a shock – who does he find hiding amongst his stock? Steph. He’s underestimated Caleb’s offspring and he’s caught red handed. There’s no smarmy talking his way out of this one.
