After her horrific ordeal with domestic abuser Tom King, Emmerdale‘s Belle Dingle will finally enjoy an organic, slow-burn romance with a surprise character.
The wedding planner will be at the centre of a new romantic storyline with Kammy Hadiq, as confirmed by both Eden Taylor-Draper and Shebz Miah.
Teasing the romantic connection between their two characters, the two soap stars have been giving some insights into what’s ahead for Belle and Kammy.
Taking to Emmerdale‘s official Instagram page on Yorkshire Day (1 August), Taylor-Draper and Miah “spilled the tea” on the upcoming spark.
“A romance is on the cards for Kammy and Belle. How do you feel about that Shebz?” Taylor-Draper asked her co-star.
“It’s been amazing, like the scenes that we’ve had, have been so fun,” Miah replied.
“It’s been a mixed bag because, like, I think for Kammy and Belle, they go on like this journey, and that.
“And I think it’s just nice to have, like a bit of normality, and that, mixed with a bit of banter.”
Miah concluded: “You get all these different feelings that happen during a scene. So it’s been really enjoyable. I’m not gonna lie. I have really enjoyed it.”
Taylor-Draper agreed, adding: “Stay tuned.”
Belle is long overdue a nice romance after her marriage to coercive Tom.
The hard-hitting storyline came to an end last December when Tom was found guilty of assault and coercive behaviour at his trial and was briefly revisited when Belle visited him in prison in February to get some closure.
As for Kammy, the mechanic briefly dated Sarah Sugden before they broke up, with her now getting engaged to her ex Jacob Gallagher.
